Real Wedding | Michael & Aaron | Arapahoe Basin Black Mountain Lodge

“two

I first met Michael and Aaron at a Sara Bareilles concert at the Botanic Gardens in Chatfield. We ended up going out for drinks that night but never ended up hanging out again. Fast forward a couple years and I get an email from them that they’re engaged! I had known that they had exchanged rings, but once the Supreme Court approved marriage equality, they were excited to make it legal in front of their family and friends. They’re both avid snowboarders and consider Arapahoe Basin one of their homes. The entire event brought out the mountain vibes from their snowboard guest book to the mountain themed cake to the ski pass escort cards.

Real Wedding | Amanda & Zach | Evergreen, CO

Amanda and Zach are an amazing couple who got married May 28th at the Brook Forest Inn in Evergreen, CO. They are both avid hockey fans and even had their engagement photos at one of the local hockey arenas! Amanda designed her own burgundy and blue centerpieces with Avalanche jersey table number. I was also able to gift them some unique escort cards by creating some plaster hockey pucks to hang on a hockey net in the foyer. They’re an amazing couple and I wish them all the happiness in the world!

Real Wedding | Maggie & Ivan | Evergreen, CO

denver wedding coordinator I first met Maggie and Ivan about three months before their August wedding after one of my previous clients referred them to me. I could tell from the moment I met them that they were going to be a great couple to work with. They were going through another major life event, the home buying experience, while also planning their wedding. Because of this, I knew that helping coordinate their wedding would be an immense help.

Maggie and Ivan made a great choice when they selected the Meadows at Marshdale venue in Evergreen, CO for their wedding ceremony and reception. It’s always a risk when booking a wedding entirely outdoors, but the bet paid off for Maggie and Ivan with amazing Colorado weather. The couple wanted to feature the Colorado landscape during their outdoor ceremony, and chose to enhance the setting with metal buckets of lavender along the aisle, and a Birchwood arbor to frame the couple during the ceremony. Maggie chose to walk down the aisle with both of her parents to a guitar duet of “Ten Thousand Words” by The Avett Brothers. The ceremony was officiated by her uncle, giving the ceremony a very intimate family feel. Maggie and Ivan exited together, officially as a married couple to “I’m Beginning to See the Light” by Duke Ellington before signing their wedding license. During the cocktail hour, the guests continued to be serenaded by the guitar duo to a mix of Nirvana, John Coltrane and Marvin Gaye among other personal favorites of the new Mr. and Mrs.

During the cocktail hour, their guests enjoyed signature cocktails of Pinche Palomas and Jalisco Donkey Shows before a dinner of Maggie and Ivan’s favorite street tacos. Maggie, a graphic designer by trade, brought out the couple’s personalities through the custom design of their programs, “Mint to Be” favors and table numbers. A Jenga set for guests to sign special messages as their guestbook, added another special touch. The couple’s family baked desserts of homemade pop tarts, mini key lime pies and cupcakes with a cutting cake. The entire event was an absolutely perfect Colorado wedding day for Maggie, Ivan and their family and friends.
